Qréb qom léh ‘al yad nahro
Yoohanon bréh dazkhrayo

w-haylo daksé mén ‘eeréh
éthaw wo dné’math ménéh

moran éthaw la’modo
wal-soh-dootho yoohanon

wabo dqo’é mén rawmo
honaw bér whonaw habeeb

قْرِبْ قُمْ لِه عَلْ يَدْ نَهْرُو
يُوحَانُنْ بْرِه دَزْخَرْيُو

وْحَيْلُو دَكْسِه مِنْ عِيرِه
إِثُو وُه دْنِعْمَدْ مِنِه

مُرَنْ إِثُو لَعْمُدُو
وَلْسُهْدُوثُو يُوحَانُنْ

وَابُو دْقُعِه مِنْ رَوْمُو
هُنَاوْ بِرْ وْهُنَاوْ حَابِيبْ  

John, son of Zachariah, came and stood at the river bank. And the hidden power from the awaken ones (angels) came to be baptized by Him. Our Lord came to the baptism; and for the testimony of John. And the Father shouted from above: ‘this is my Son and this is my beloved’.

تقدم يوحنا ابن زكريا ووقف على حافة النهر وقد جاءت تلك القوة المخفية من اليقظين (الملائكة) ليعتمد منه، جاء الرب إلى العماد ولشهادة يوحنا، والرب يصرخ من السماء هذا هو ابني هذا هو حبيبي
